Since we did so much and took so many pictures whilst in the big apple I've decided to make a post for each day we were there.
Day 1
On Wednesday morning our flight left Heathrow airport at 10:50am. It took us 6 hours and 58 minutes to reach Newark airport in New jersey. When we walked out of the airport in to our bus which took us to our hotel in Midtown Manhattan the heat was incredible. New York was experiencing a heat wave! It was 38 degrees celcius when we landed! Hot Hot Hot! Our hotel was situated just a 2 minute walk from Times Square, 5th avenue and Broadway!
Whilst walking in Times Square we looked up at the massive screen above Forever 21 and we were on TV! We're famous!
Whilst walking around Times Square we went in to a couple of shops like Bilabong, where I bought a dress and a cardigan. Then we headed in to the M&Ms shop - we've now been to them in New York, Las Vegas and London, which means we've only not been to 1 which is in Orlando, Florida! Here mother went crazy and bought loads of magnets, t-shirts, PJ's and a M&M Statue of Liberty!
After Times Square we headed down to 5th Avenue to find the apple shop so I could buy my ipad so I didn't have to worry about buying one for the rest of the holidays! We walked for ageeees in the heat, even though it was 10pm it was still around 25 degrees! Eventually, after asking a couple of door men, we found the apple shop and wow it was something else!
After buying our ipads we made our way back to 7th avenue where we were staying and on our way back we stopped at the Brooklyn Diner - a typical dinner you see in films where there were booths a bar and the NBA finals on TV. I had a pestrami and corned beef sandwich (which was more of a mountain!) and mam had the brooklyn diner deluxe burger! It was lush! There was a lot of it though and I didn't manage to eat it all but it was lovely! Especially after being awake for over 20 hours it was nice to re-charge my batteries!
After our lovely meal we headed to bed at around at 10:30pm!
