On bank holiday Monday mam, Hendrix and myself headed to Aberaeron to walk the coastal path to Aberarth. Although we have walked this path before this is the first time since the opening of the Wales Coastal Path. This newly opened path stretches the whole of Wales' incredible coast - 870 miles in total. Wales is the first country in the world where you can do such a thing. Although we only walked about 4miles of the path we have already decided that we are going to walk further around different parts of the country. Even Lonely Planet picked Wales as it's number one country to visit due to the fantastic views this path holds.
It was nice to get out of the house after 2 days of being ill. The sea air along with some exercise is always a recipe for success! Once we arrived in Aberarth we followed the coastal path through the tiny village. This was one of the highlights of the walk as we were able to see all the colourful windy streets that the cars just pass by on the main road. All houses were only a 2 minute walk from the beach and this was evident in their design with almost all possessing a shed or a house painted in blues and yellows many of them even had beach related decor outside such as shells, tropical plants and pebbles.
It was a beautiful walk and even though it was quite a windy day the rain held off in till we got to the car! Timing!
