HANGOVER 3 & HARVESTER DATE // end of exams

Thursday afternoon was my last exam of first year. It was on the twentieth century leaders of the non West and it was pretty hard! As it was the first year that they had done this type of exam no one knew what to expect. I answered all the questions and it's only worth 30% so it'll be ok, hopefully. We didn't have much time to relax as Laura, Hollie and I headed to the cinema to watch Hangover 3. It was really funny and totally different to both the first and Second Hangover films. If you go and see it PLEASE stay 'till the end of the credits because that is actually The Funniest part of the film - wow!
For an after film meal we went to Harvester and met up with two more of our friends - Ellie and Dani, and had an awesome meal. :) yuuuuum. The next days my plans are like this - sleep, rest, rest, rest, relax, chill, Tesco, relax, sleep and some more relax, oh and also some reading :) Niiiiiiice.

LISA IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY . . .

'Sup. The last few days have been quite busy.
On Friday night myself and the famalam went out for my birthday dinner in Ludo's in Newcastle Emlyn. The food was awesome and even though there were hardly any people there it was good. I had one of the most amazing starters ever and sitting here right now writing this so close to dinner time it's making me super hungry! It was a pear, bacon and Perl Las salad which sounds a bit odd but is so awesome. For mains I had duck and for pudding I had panna cotta :) yummm.

By birthday was on Saturday and I had booked to have my hair done so that's what I did. I've had my hair cut in Andrew Price since I was veeeery young and while I was there I changed the colour of my hair a bit and went for like a dip dye (brown to blonde) look. I really like it. After that I grabbed some stuff from town, we went to visit my grandparents and we headed home. All of my friends had gone back to uni a couple of weeks previously so I didn't really do much on my birthday but it was nice.Instead of a cake I had loads of cupcakes with surfboards and flowers on them but I only had one because I was going to bring them back to uni and share them with everyone but someone (dad) forgot them at home which I wasn't too pleased about but they're just cakes at the end of the day.

Sunday I made my way back to uni and to Block J. Because we've all been away from here for so long it's actually quite nice to be back even though we're all in our rooms most of the day revising! It has been sooooo sunny here this week and I hope it continues. I've been waking up at 7am and it looks like the middle of the day outside it's so sunny and bright :)

Last night because myself and our house mate Alex were having our birthdays the flat sang happy birthday to us and gave us cake and cards :) We have the best block everrrrrrr. :)

SPRING HAS ARRIVED

'Suuuup :) So the sun decided to make an appearance over the last couple of days - yaaay. However it's still been freezing! On Friday night Carwen, Kyle, Sulwen and I headed to Aberaeron to get some fish & chips. We arrived just in time to see the sunset over the sea so we ate our food on the harbour - b-e-a-utiful :) (these pictures will come later this week) Also this week I began to revise - I am very unsure what I'm actually supposed to revise or how the exams are set out but I'll just try my best to prepare even though I've been procrastinating a hell of a lot! I even filmed a video that you'll also see later on this week!

I'm going to London for a few days because I have to go back and have a check up with the doctor and we're going to do a few fun things while we're there and hopefully I'll see a couple of my friends while I'm in the city for a bit over Easter :)

CELEBRATE!

Yesterday I had my A-level results . . . and I'm going to Royal Holloway (nr. London) to study History! I had an A in History, A in Geography and a B in English. Woooooohooo. Now I can actually start to buy stuff such as sheets for my new room at university!  Also, all of my friends had the grades they wanted and got in to their university of choice, so double celebration! Before that though I'm off to V Festival in Stafford to watch bands such as the Killers, the Stone Roses and the good old 'Voice', Sir Tom Jones! As you can see I'm already packed and ready to go! See you when I get back! Lets festival it up!

SCHOOL'S OUT.

There we have it. 7 years of school has come to an end. (I've already written a post about my time in school here) Last Tuesday I had my History A-level exam which went quite good but you can never tell and I hate it when people ask me how the exam went because I have no idea! Yesterday I had my geography exam which I felt was horrible at first because of the way they asked the questions but I think it went OK. We'll just have to wait! I think the waiting might be worse than the actual exam taking because you spend the next 2 months thinking about things you could have written or if you wrote the right stuff! Arghhhh! Oh well I guess you just have to forget about it and concentrate on the present. Talking of the present, today I leave for London, we'll be staying there tonight as we have an early flight to New York tomorrow! I'm beginning to get excited now because I don't have to worry about revising I can just focus on what I'll be doing in the big apple. I'm not sure if I'll be able to blog whilst out in the states but I'm sure I'll have loads of pictures to share with you when I return home! I also picked up my leavers hoodie today from school! This officially marks the end of my time at Ysgol Gyfun Llanbedr Pont Steffan and (hopefully) the beginning of my time at University and in the real world! See you when I return from NY!

Well hello there! Sorry for the lack of blogging this week but I do have a legitimate explanation! I woke up Thursday feeling soooo sick and have spent the last couple of days on the sofa watching TV and sleeping (much like Hendrix is doing in this picture). I've also got one more exam to revise for - Geography on Tuesday. I'm glad that I've revised it all many times already so I know it pretty well so I'm not panicking that much since I've not been able to revise for the last couple of days. I also missed the Carmarthen Quins rugby presentation last night which I'm quite gutted about because that was my last season with them as I'm now to old to play for the U18's, but I just felt to sick to go. Though, I'm glad that I felt like this this week because next week I have my exam and then I'm straight off to New York for 5 days! However, there is one good thing that's come out of all this - I've rekindled my love for the Gilmore Girls! I love that program sooooo much! I've probably watched every episode nearly 3 times - the word obsessed might come to your mind! Now I just need to revise, pack and relax!

EXAM TIME . . . AGAIN!

For the last 2/3 weeks or so my life has and is still dominated by revision. Revision, revision, revision!!! My first A-level exam, which is History, is on the 12th of June, this coming Tuesday. My second, and last, exam which is Geography is on the 19th of June. Most of the day, everyday I spend sitting in my little red directors chair staring and trying to learn soooooo much information from my files, from Catherine the Great's reign to the sustainability of our energy supplies! One thing's driving me through this though - the fact that the day after i finish my exams I'm off to NEW YORK BABEEEY! I'll be in the big apple for 5 days! It'll be a nice break from exams and a time to relax before I start my summer job. I still have loads of reading up to do about the city, where to visit, where to dine etc. I've got my Lonely Planet and Rough Guide at hand so all should be fine!

THOSE 7 YEARS FLEW BY

Wow. 7 years of school came to an end last Friday. I still have my exams in June but I have no timetabled lessons anymore. I wont have to stand in the back of the hall for Assembly anymore and neither will I sit in the common room during my free lessons chatting and laughing with my friends waiting for the bell to go. Wow. That's all I can say. Even though school to people seems to be the worst place on earth, for me it is actually an enjoyable place. The lessons are OK, especially in sixth form as I'm taking the subjects that I actually want to do - English literature, Geography and History, but the real thing I enjoy about school is the socialising.

My close friends have changed numerous times since year 7 but I've always had the same friends surrounding me. With these friends I started my first day of secondary school back in September 2005! 2005 -wow! (I think wow is the word of this post!) It is with these friends that I've been on school trips with from Denmark in year 8, History trip to France and Belgium in year 9, Skiing in Austria in year 10, Sweden in year 12 and Ireland in year 13. These friends were with me whilst I walked down the catwalk to raise money for charity, and these friends were also there to congratulate me for my rugby, exams and general success.

The teachers have also been incredibly helpful. Not everyone. Not all the time. The majority however have been great and even though it might sound weird but you do create a close relationship with these people you see everyday for 7 years! They know you extremely well and understand you as a person, your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses. I have been extremely lucky that I've had teachers that I get on with and who are also very good at what they do! Thank you!

On Friday (our last official school day) I arrived in school at around 11:30am in order to give my teachers 'thank you' gifts. It was quite a stressful couple of days organising all the presents but in the end we pulled it off! To most of the teachers we gave them pictures, flowers, cake and even an autograph of Stephen Jones (Welsh rugby player). Before the present giving however we headed to the canteen and had our last all-together-year13-school-lunch. We then changed into our shorts and t-shirt (it's been boiling here for the last week or so! Like really hot!) and headed down to the field to play some rounders! Classic game. Carwen and I  then headed to Conti's to grab some homemade ice cream and then we headed back to her house to get ready for her 18th birthday party that was later that night. What a wonderful day!

With out a doubt I'll miss school and its friendliness and its familiarity but I'm also very excited to move on to the next stage and to university. Wow, (there's that word again!) university!

Just have to successfully get these exams done first!

All in all a successful day!

The morning of Thursday the 8th of March was quite nerve raking! The reason for this was because we were receiving our A-level and AS resit module results! I was literally shaking when I opened them! I was quite please! I had an A* in Geography a B in English an A in my History AS resit and a B in my English resit. These aren't my final grades by the way. If I have a good coursework mark in English I could have an A overall, but we will have to wait and see!

So all in all I am very pleased with my exam results!

Later that day I attended hockey training after school however due to my back injury I was unable to play for long. For me this is incredibly, excruciatingly frustrating! I love sport and to not be able to play or train properly (even though I do try!) is hard!. So after hockey I raced home, changed and got back in the car to go to the cinema with Ruth. We went to watch Hunky Dory  a new film based in Swansea with Minnie Driver among many other fine actors. After the cinema Ruth and I decided to have a bite to eat so we went to Frankie & Bennie's. I ordered a chicken salad and Ruth ate a BBQ wrap with fires. It was actually quite nice and the whole night was entertaining with lights flashing and Cliff Richard singing in the background (I have videos which I'll be showing you soon!)

Peek-a-boo

I apologise for the lack of posts lately but life has been sooooooo busy.

It's been school, hockey training, rugby training, rugby/hockey/net-ball matches, homework & sleep. So ye, quite busy! I promise that I will get back to blogging normally asap probably this weekend or start of next week. I have put a video together of our trip to cardiff and Bristol to watch the Kaiser Chiefs.

Freshhhhhh.

So, my exams are over!!! (for now anyway!) 

My last exam was Geography which was on Monday. I was so nervous before hand because I obviously want to do well and that morning I stopped myself from revising as I knew I'd only scare my self as I would begin to forget things. I felt the exam went OK. So we'll have to see! Our exam was at 13:00 and lasted around two and a half hours and after dropping some things off in the school I raced back home changed and picked Ruth up from her house. We decided that we were going to go watch 'The Decendents' the one with George Clooney. When we arrived in the cinema I ordered a medium popcorn, now I thought that the popcorn was going to be an average size, not too big and not too small. Boy was I wrong! It was absolutely MASSIVE! Seriously! I only ate half of it and bought the other half home for the 'rents but dad threw it in the bin after two days of the popcorn just sitting in its little box refusing to reduce in size! I really enjoyed the film and it was a nice way to relax after over a month of relentless revising hour after hour, day after day! 

Yesterday after coming home from school I felt kinda' frustrated and aggravated so I decided to take Hendrix around some of our fields. It was a lush sunny and crisp winters evening and while I was out and about I was able to just watch the sunset in the background as i (for old times sake) decided to use my climbing frame!
